The dry winter continued in February with a total of 0.75" water equivalent of precipitation. The ground & lakes are still frozen, and no plants are showing signs of life.  Recent light rainfall has moistened the top ground surface. Fire danger in the area is moderate, with one local fire burning about 20 acres. There were 37 reported wildfires statewide in February.
