Conditions here are mildly dry trending toward moderately dry.  We have not received rain for nearly 3.5 weeks.  Very hot and high heat indices ranging from 100 to 112 in our greater Triangle region.  Grasses are turning yellow and garden plants will wilt unless watered every other day.  Heat exposure warnings are part of daily weather reports.  Small streams and creeks are very low.
